The rain has officially stopped…I swear Salt Lake is turning into the new Seattle! We’ve had so much rain, but the sun is shining today and our NEW Geo Mod baby and toddler blanket is giving me all the spring feels! I wanted to do a new series where I highlight one of our blankets and some of the though that went into the design process behind it. So these will be short and sweet but hopefully give you a little more info on each of our prints.
For spring I really wanted to add in some fun, bright new colors. I have been loving adding some pops of color into monochrome…because you know my love for monochrome will never die! With this print I really wanted to juxtapose organic shapes with structured line and combine both bold and soft colors. With the diagonal split I chose a soft yellow as it was such a large space I didn’t want it to overpower the rest of the design. While the bright coral polka dots help balance the soft yellow and the mint dots act as a subtle underlying to the print. The Geo Mod baby and toddler blanket also feature our imperfect polka dots, which I clearly love, something about them not being uniform seems to give them movement to me. This blanket definitely won’t be for everyone but I do hope that some will love it as much as I do! And if the yellow isn’t your thing we also have a version of the print in our Mini Blankets found here.
As always if you ever have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!
