It’s a month late but better late than never, right??? At least that’s what I’m telling myself, and besides….#momlife….that pretty much gives me an excuse to be late forever!! Jett turned 2 and while I have LOVED seeing his little personality grow, I am seriously feeling all the feels that my baby is a full blown toddler!! I swear I blinked and we went from a newborn to a 2 year old, but we had the best day celebrating this man and I think it’s safe to say he loved every minute of his special day!
Low key birthday’s have kind of become my thing for the kids, which sometimes surprises me as in my pre-kid life I was a total party planner (professionally their for a hot-minute) I mean I was obsessed with making and creating every last detail of my wedding…but now, I don’t know, there is something I love in the simplicity of a party that doesn’t stress me out, and is more about celebrating these tiny humans than having the perfect theme and decor. Don’t get me wrong I totally LOVE attending a good themed party, but I just don’t have it in my lately, maybe when they’re older but for now we invited family to celebrate with us at it was PERFECT! We spent the day swimming, eating pizza & cake, doing lots of happy birthday singing + laughing, lots of laughing.

Jett is OBSESSED with swimming so the pool was an obvious choice, and it did not disappoint! Plus this photos, these little nerds in those goggles…I mean could I be more obsessed?!?!? They kill me, in the best sort of way!

The other best/most terrifying part about Jett and the pool is he has absolutely no fear + refuses to close his mouth when he goes under! It’s a full body workout to keep that kid from drowning…or at least it feels like it! I sear he swims with a permanent smile that he refuses to close, and somehow miraculously he drinks WAY less water than one would assume!

Jett’s love for trains (or choo-choos as he calls them) runs deep and my cute mom made him the sweetest train cake! That mama of mine really is the best, she makes a special cake that she lets the kids pick for their birthdays, and they taste amazing and my kids love them!

Those ears, holding up his crown…I love him!

Watching his face as all the attention was on him was one of my favorite parts of they day!

Jett got this astronaut helmet and it might be his favorite gift ever! Him and Charlie take turns wearing it and running through the house like they are blasting off to space…it kills me! And how cute is my mama?!?! We could not love her more if we tried. She is sweet, kind, fun, and just loves on those babes of mine like they were her own….maybe even more than if they were her own! 😉

These two with their matching faces though! Way too many photos to follow of them but I couldn’t help myself. Also, their crowns have become a small tradition that I make for them each year a crown with their age. After their birthday we add it to their dress up box and they use them to transform into Rapunzel or King Tritan, or pretty much whatever Charlie dictates….because let’s be real, we all know who the boss is!

These two are legit best friends and I hope they stay that way forever! Their love for one another makes my mama heart burst!

Seriously, those faces! Whatever one does the other does…sometimes I wonder if they were meant to be twins!

Happy 2nd birthday Jett! We could not love you more little man and I thank God everyday that he brought you into our lives. Below are just a few of my favorite Jett things:
I love how you ask each of us multiple times a day if we’re happy, and are genuinely sad if someone says no…..happy charlie?? (it really is the cutest)
Your knock knock jokes, they are the best! Jett: “knock, knock” me: “who’s their” Jett: “M&M” (everytime) we can thank Papa for these!
Your love of jumping…literally you jump all day long, off of nothing and off of everything!
The fact that you eat more than a grown man, and then proudly show anyone in the vicinity how full your belly is! (literally this kid will eat us out of the house as a teenager)
I love that you adore Charlie and your cousin Owen and when asked who your best friend is they are always your answer!
You’re obsession for M&M’s little man, it is strong….we can again thank Papa for that.
You also might just be the nicest kid ever, your dad and I are always amazed at your kindness, compassion, and willingness to share anything with anyone.
Your hugs buddy…they are something to write home about! They are tight, just long enough, and filled with love!
I could go on and on, but I seriously adore this little man. He has brought so much light and laughter into our lives and I will forever be blessed that he calls me mama!
